What is sexual immorality? Sexual immorality is when a male and a female have sex out of marriage. Is this right? I used to struggle a lot with this sin, but all glory to God. He made a way for me and took me out of it. Now I’m free and living my life for Him.
Here Are 8 Practical Ways You Can Abstain from Sex Until Marriage
1. Stop watching any movies that has sex scenes in them.
2. Stay away from watching pornography from the Internet.
3. Stop reading books, and listening to secular music that entices or arouses sexual desires.
4. Stop fantasizing about someone in your mind.
5. Keep your thoughts pure, and think about Godly things.
6. Read the Bible daily on the things that you are struggling with. Eg. Sex
7. Pray and ask God to give you the strength to overcome sexual immorality.
8. Practice what you read in the Bible ( DO THEM)
In conclusion, when we do these things we give the enemy legal access to our lives, and open up doors to the enemy that allows them to reap havoc in our lives.
In John 10:10 Jesus said “the enemy comes to KILL, STEAL and DESTROY.” The enemy literally want to take us out because we are on God’s side and are striving to live for Him. Satan is very crafty and cunning. That’s why scripture tells us not to be ignorant of Satan devices.
We have ear gates, eye gates, Mouth gate, and the heart gate. That’s why in Proverbs 4:23 says “above all else guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Your heart is your mind, this is where your thoughts comes from. Therefore, Jesus is telling us to guard our thoughts.
However, when we open up ourselves and allow everything to captivate our minds we are in the devils playground and don’t even know it. God said “My People perish because they lack knowledge.” It is only wise to grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18
