8 Healthy Foods That Will Change Your Life Forever

Let Food be Your Best Medicine Not Your Worst Enemy.

Taking care of your body is very essential for your health. It’s one of the most important things I could have  ever done. In order for your body to function properly you need proper sleep, good exercise and on top of that you need to eat a well balanced meal to keep you going throughout the day.

However, we all know that sometimes life gets the best of us and our schedules are filled with all kinds of things on our to do list. Therefore, as humans we must not forget the highest service for God.

1 Corinthians 6:19 tells us that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, it’s not your own. So, we are obligated to take good care of our bodies.

Giving your body to the Lord, through sticking to a proper diet and exercise regularly, is one of the most important gifts that you can give to God. You only have one life to live; your life is precious and it’s a gift from God so why not value it.

Our bodies belong to God, I cannot emphasise enough that we must not, under any circumstances, allow our bodies to become slaves to anything, such as lust for food, as well as our sexual appetite.

The majority of the world is suffering and dying from heart disease. According to World Health Organization Studies show that heart disease remains the number 1 killer.

Heart disease has remained the leading cause of death at the global level for the last 20 years. However, it is now killing more people than ever before.

The number of deaths from heart disease increased by more than 2 million since 2000, to nearly 9 million in 2019. Heart disease now represents 16% of total deaths from all causes.

My mild experience with my heart.
Back in 2019 I was having slight trouble breathing and my heart was skipping beats. Sometimes I would get sharp stabbing pains in my chest area. I know my diet had to change, I was eating everything like I was immortal.

You know what they say; you are what you eat. My diet was very bad. So, I started to take my health very serioüsly. I didn’t know which food to eat to help me with my health. However, I took on the challenge and went on a week fast.

I fasted for seven days seeking God to help me with my diet. Before I repented about how I was eating, the Lord warned me many times in dreams that I need to eat healthy. Sometimes he would even go as far as to show me which food to eat in my dreams.

I would buy them and incorporate them in my diet; but I didn’t stick with the food he showed me for long. Why? I  guess because some of them didn’t taste good for me or maybe I was not creative enough to make it more appetizing.

So, I regressed and went back to my old ways of eating. However, after the fast was finished. He heard my prayer and answered me. The Lord is so faithful and kind. He showed me superfoods that I need to focus on eating for my heart health.

My eating habits are not perfect but I can say it’s much better than before. I’m now sticking to my diet on most days. Once in a while I have cheat meals; and I’m also exercising regularly.

Many people that I know struggle with high blood pressure. I have friends and families who passed away from heart disease. It seems like everyone I know either died from a stroke or had a stroke.

Stroke is mainly caused by extreme poor dietary health. Lack of exercise and poor eating habits can cause poor blood circulation to the arteries. When the circulation is cut off that’s what causes stroke or heart failure, because the passage to the arteries is very narrow and clogged with bad cholesterol which are fats. Therefore, the blood can’t get through the arteries freely.

Throughout 1 Corinthians 6:12-20, there are numerous references to the sanctity of the body, “Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you,” and the importance of preserving the body and glorifying God through treating it with respect, exercising regularly and maintaining a healthy, balanced diet.
